St. Louis, Mo… Big Brothers Big Sisters received a $45,000 grant from Women on Mission – St. Louis (WOM) on June 23, 2008, at the College Hill Community Garden of Courage in North St. Louis. The grant funds will be used to mentor 37 children who live in College Hill and are currently on a waiting list for the Big Brothers Big Sisters program. Through this proven approach, these St. Louis children will have the opportunity to develop positive relationships that have a direct and lasting impact on their lives.

Many grant requests were received. The WOM grant committee selected 3 finalists to present their proposal at its first annual meeting June 12, 2008. The women voted to give the grant to Big Brothers Big Sisters St. Louis.
